Announcements have been made by the media (as per links below) about three new Thermal Power Plants (IPP) under construction within the south Sumatera Island and close to the Main power Grid passing near S Tuboh site. The combined capacity of the three plants will bring close to 2000MW of additional electricity supply to the grid by 2015. This means that Earth Fortune Limited will no longer have to build the planned on-site 9MW coal fired Power Plant. This translates into the realization of considerable savings in investment and subsequent lower operating costs on energy.
